Coming home from work tonight, my first night at the new job I take my exit and see an older 80s camaro go by. I see the light turn red up ahead so I floor it to the lane next to the camaro. The guy turns his lights on in the car and looks at me. I just smiled and looked at the light. He knew what I was thinking. The light turns and I floor it almost instantly gaining about 2 car lengths, then by the time I hit 60 I was at about 3 ½ car lengths ahead off him, I could see he was trying to keep up but he couldn’t. I slowed back down to 50 and he came right up behind me then backed down flashed his lights and stayed a normal driving distance away from me. After a few more miles on the road my street was coming up so I turned and again he flashed his lights and we went our own ways. He seemed like a cool guy and acknowledged that with his light flash.

Nice kill... my friend had an 87 IROC-Z w/ a 305TPI in it, biggest POS ever, he lost to a ford countor hahaha. If you're curious, here is all the 80's camaro specs you'll ever need to know: Thirdgen.org

The only 3rd-gen camaro worth mentioning were the 1990-1992 Z28s w/ the L98 V8... 245hp, and 345ft-lbs (@3200 rpm )

350TPi's which were the most powerful third gen's were 245hp and all had auto tranny's.
Most were 305's. in either carb, tbi, or tpi. Power was basically not there. 180 -190 was the high powered 305's.
