Awesome. Its been raining here all day so I didnt get to play with it any. Hopefully I can do it tomorrow. But still what puzzles me, how do you guys mount your soleniods? If I put it inside the fender and put the screws through it, you will be able to see the screws on the other side. I also believe im going to buy that coil you have ALMOST STOCK errr I mean SICK!!!

Also, im going to do some repainting the bay. I dont think im going to fill the holes up right now, but I havent decided 100% on that. But should I just sand it all down and re-primer it and do some rattle can spraying? I used the rattle can once before and it done real good but it comes off to easy on top of that old paint. So im going to do it all three steps with the can, I believe I will be alright. Any opinions on that?

I've sent you some more pic of where I have my solenoid located and how it's attached without the bolts showing .

I'd say if you throughly clean,sand, prime and paint you shouldn't have any problems.
Some people will say use a high temp paint in the engine, my engine bay is painted with same paint that the exterior of the car is painted with and I've had no problems. I'd think a good quality rattle can paint would work just fine.
Have you look at http://www.paintscratch.com/ you can get your original color from them in a spray can?

Yeah, I have checked out paintstratch.com before. They have all the colors of any car company it seems. I got your email, thanks for the extra pics. Thank you all again, you guys are the best. Hopefully the weather will work with me and I can get some pics up tomorrow.

I decided I didn't need them this time, so I cut them all out and threw um away.

Laugh now but yours will be in the same place soon.

Do you all think having all those little holes in the bay looks nasty? I cant decide wether or not I want to get em welded up. I guess I could always get em welded up later. Oh well have to wait and see how it turns out.

It looks a heck of a lot better when they are all welded up and smoothed out, but it is a lot of work. If you have going to weld them up, the only safe way would be to pull the motor etc... If you are going to go that far, why not pull the dash and re-route the 10-pin connectors as well? I have been working on mine for a few months and it is more work than you think.

A performance shop that's about 20 miles from my home in Ca.

It's only hard and time consuming when you don't have the time to it in such as in your case. For the normal guy that doesn't have a thousand things going on all at once it's not really that time consuming.

I guess I am just slow... Hmmmm, I started in February to include a complete engine rebuild, complete wire hiding to include the 10-pins, and I still aint done! DANG!!!!! I must be slow!

Well today, I got all the wires loose and the hole in the back of the strut tower widened. Got to hook all the wires back up in the back, then drill a hole for the coil im going to order. I didnt have but a couple hours to work on it, and I spent most of the time trying to make the hood shut right again. Ended up being my prop rod was bent and it was keeping the hood from shutting. So im getting things lined out one at a time, tomorrow is the last day of good weather we are going to have so I guess I have to get on the stick.

Also, ALMOST STOCK, how much $$$ did it cost you to have your heads and intake ported? If you want to email me with the price thats ok too. Also, if you will email me the place you got your battery hold down.

Cant wait guys, its looking pretty good right now even with the old paint and stuff.

Well I guess I can give an update. I decided NOT to move the soleniod into the fender at this time. I had it all apart and I moved it every possible place I could and I was going to have to extend the cable running from the starter. So im just going to put it back where it was and run the wires to it a different way so it wont be as messy. I really dont want to mess with the new wires right now, but when I decide to do it, I will know how too. All the other wires are hid though, I do need to do a little paint work and get back to putting the stuff back. Wont look the best but it will look better than it did. So I guess it worked out good, learning experience and making it look better. Guess that equals a win, I will get pics later. My coil should be here Friday, so that will be the last piece to being done.

Sorry to hear things didn't work out with moving your solenoid, but like you said you've got the basic concept of what you want to do so it will be much easier next time.

As far as how much how much it cost to have my heads and intake ported I really don't remember, but I could guess. There was no real break down on each part of the work he did just a bottom line price, you have to remember I had it done over 4 yrs ago and that's why I'd have to guess even thought I have the invoice.

To bring this post back from the dead, How do you hide the wires that run along the top of the radiator support WITH A/C? I think one of the wires which is very noticeable is for my airbag.

You have 3 airbag sensors up front. I just ran my wires up front and the center airbag sensor wire is pushed back behind the radiator and A/C (radiator thingy). Your A/C compressor wires will run up from k-member. This is the best pic I could find of the front wires (headlights and airbags). All of the headlight wires are pushed in front of the A/C radiator thingy also. Hope this helps...
