If you plan on exclusively racing at the quartermile track, you may want to consider swapping in a solid axle.

There are some remedies available for the IRS (which has been used since the '99 cobras came out), but if you experience wheel-hop, your best bet is to get out of it to avoid damage.

Lowering the car and adding good tires seem to have accomplished a lot for people at the track. You can also spend a bunch of money in parts trying the "band-aid" approach. Beefier halfshafts, extra bracing/brackets, etc, etc...

If you want the best of both worlds, throw some parts at the IRS to keep it semi-happy at the 1/4-mile track and avoid wheel hop!
