Can someone explain to me the ins and outs of the tuners available out there. A few things such as how they work, their positives, and their negatives. I don't have many mods, but I'd like the car work better with what I got. The reason I am considering a handheld tune instead of a "real" one, is because I have heard that with some tuners the tune can be changed to factory stock, if needing to go to Ford for warranty work. Any help is appreciated. :)

Predator

I can only comment on the Predator as that is the only one I've ever used. It is really simple to use. It stores the factory tune and you can re-install it at any time, which is helpful if you want to take it to the dealer

Besides tuning, it can also recalibrate the speedo for gear changes and turn off the check engine light for an o/r pipe which is what I needed it for.

I'm sure others can tell you more about the Predator and all the other tuners out there, but I do like my Predator.

If you get a custom tune on the SCT X-calibrator flasher, you can re-flash your stock tune if need be. I've heard that the Ford garage can tell if you have flashed and re-flashed the stocker though. Maybe someone can confirm this.
