Yes, it's true IMHO (I have one of each). But........... you can certainly get your fox III up to par with some aftermarket parts. On the other hand, if you get an SN (assuming you'd keep it pushrodded), you have to deal with the finicky computer. Six of one, a half dozen...............

Good luck.

no they just dont like being cammed up, they are a really good piece when you chip em though, the fox4 or the sn95 handles better stock than pretty much any 5.0 fox, excluding the cobra and the svo, the svo however handles very good from the factory!!

Actually, I would indeed say that the 94-95 *GT* (not Cobra) tune does have too much timing and too little fuel. This is an issue with the stock programming (in an effort to clean up emissions), not with the stock computer (the processor is superior to the Fox III's).

What would make me decide is simply the huge difference in aesthetics between the two and peoples' personal preferences in that regard. Some love the look of the III's and some love the IV's.

The newer the Mustang, the better it handles.

The 94-98's handle better than the Fox and the 99-04's handle better than the 94-98's (due to wider track and new spring/shock combo)

I remember when i first bought my '03 Gt after driving nothing but Fox's around my first impression was "Wow, does this thing handle nice!"

Of course, Foxes are lighter and toss some aftermarket parts at them and they can move as well. As nice as my Gt handles compared to the average Fox, my own LX with aftermarker suspension can still take a turn a hell of a lot faster than my GT can.
