Long story short I went down a dirt road to my friends house hit a large puddle, pushed the airfilter up and into the box(pos filter),and blew out the ring, cause it detonated, anyway this pos has had a hanging idle for as long as I have had this engine (over a year now) but I swapped the heads and intake, and I fixed it last night, today I went and drove it around, and it hangs around 1500-1600rpm, no smoke, perfect oil press(50-60psi)

I had the timing at 15* so I turned it back down to 10* a minite ago and its around 1100 now, and just today ive put 250miles on this thing, reset the computer and checked the iac, even swapped it out, and nothing..

so plz help a bro out....

I had something just like that. Try this with car running at idle use your hand and try pushing throttle to sit against the screw that stops it .does rpms drop to normal?my tb was bad it is not serviceable.

Dude my car had 40k when it happened.dont assume a part is ok cause it worked before. Mind would come down if you snapped gas acouple off times. I even tried a big return spring. Still had high idle the idle would go down only with force with hand .it was binding ever so tiny .it also can spit out code .
