Any of you guys know anything about hardblocking, was talking to my engine shop the other day and we were talking about getting me more power with a stock block, dont really want to spend 2-3k on a aftermarket block, but we we talking about making an all out dragster, and they bought up full fill hardblocking my motor, forging bottom end, and a girdle, get it to around 615hp, and throwing a 400 shot on it, does this sound safe, or should I just wait for an aftermarket block. And I'm talking about an 87 351W.

I had my 69 windsor block 1/2 filled. I run a girdle with all forged rotating assembly. Motor made #'s in sig n/a. On the street it runs spot on to the t-stat, and thats with the same fan/radiator I ran on the 302. 615fwhp is safe with what you want to run n/a, I'm not going to guess with the 400 shot though
