Hey guys i am having problems with the harmonic balancer. It is a stock piece and i have gone threw 2 of them in 2 weeks. I am making 475rwhp and 446rwtq. I dont no if it is because of my s-trim making 12lbs of boost and the resistance on the crank or not from it. Or do i just exceed what the stock balancer can take with the blower. Do i need to upgrade to a heavier duty balancer? But i dont want to buy one and have that one break as well. Let me know what you guys think because I am running out of ideas so please help.

Just a note - There is nothing that can really go "out of balance" inside the block.
What can happen is the out of balance damper can stress the crank, which could lead to rapid (almost static) fatigue failure.

As long as the crank and block were not severly stressed by an out of balance damper, causing a crack to start, you will have no problems after putting on a new damper.

Good Luck

Yep, the HD (balancer is kind of a bad name) helps quell torsional vibration.

That's nuts that you had a stocker hold up at all. Definately look into a quality, quality piece, which will end up likely being SFI, and with probably have a name like Romac, Pioneer/Powerbond, etc etc stamped on it.

Good luck.
