I am thinking of doing this to mine. I think a nice wrinkle black finish would look good on them. I am trying to make what is under the car look as good as the top side. Any one ever done it or thoughts?

Hmmm....sounds like a good idea. It would look WAY better than the rusted bare metal look, LOL. I can't imagine it causing any problems unless it got into areas where bolts would go.

I think the a-arms, rear axle, etc should come with some type of finish. the bare metal just looks horrible.

I say go for it!

i dont know if i would waste the money to powder coat the stock A arms, i painted my stock one's with a good coat of rustoleum black a few years ago, and they still look good on my friends car now(they had poly bushing's in them). powder coating isnt cheap either, we wanted to have 2 front lift springs done for my dads truck and they wanted $150 just to coat them

and here's my dads ranger we did a solid axle swap on, painted almost a year ago, with about 20k miles on it. the red is rustoleum enamel also, it's tough stuff, and covers great!

I got rustoleum on my subframes. Might as well give this a try also.
