Yes, but don't you dare cut holes in the rear facia to feed them through, or we will all point, laugh at you and call you a ricer! ;) Do it right and just use longer hangers.:nice:

I hate that GT bumper. When someone cuts holes in tha bottom and feeds like 3" SS LX tipes thru, I think it looks bad ass. Why is that rice?

Besides....when you chop the bumper you can't see them anyway. All you see is about an inch of them sticking out at the end....then burnt paint and exhaust deposits all over your bumper. :notnice:
Hasn't happened to me and you can see the bottoms of the tubes from a side veiw.

Because it's tacky. Chopped rear bumpers look Ghetto. Ya wanna see tailpipes so bad, but wanna keep the rest of the ground effects, then buy a Cobra or Saleen rear facia. Doesn't look too bad ...

I only heard somewhere (or read) that the lower lip on the GT rear bumper causes a lot of drag at top speed, which is why the Cobra and Saleen did what they did with their bumpers.

I think it has more to do with the asthetics than anything. A lot of the GT guys liked (wanted) the look of the shiny stanless steel tailpipes running out the back, but weren't able to use the LX bumper because of missmatched body moulding. The Cobra and Saleen bumpers are kind of a nice compromise between the two.
