Has ANYONE found out the vibration prob?

There are so many different things that can make your car vibrate at high rates of speed. I don't think that there could be one "magic" answer. However, there are some typical areas to investigate to help pinpoint the source of any given vibration

1. Tires that are out of round
2. Tires that are out of balance
3. Rims that are not mounted properly (loose lug nuts)
4. Rear axle bushings that are too worn out
5. Bad u-joints
6. Steel drive shaft that is no longer 'true'
7. Any driveshaft that isn't balanced
8. Bad / loose / missing transmission mounts & motor mounts
9. Bad bushings in the a-arms
10. Ball joints on the verge of failure
11. Tie rod ends that are froozen
12. Brake calipers that no longer slide
13. Bad bearings in the hub
14. Bad shocks or struts
15. Car out of alingment
16. Flat tire

Because this list contains so many different things, that is why it would be hard to pinpoint one single source for multiple failure modes.

A common problem is U-joints. I've also heard some say about a packing in the driveshaft that shrinks and moves around causing a balance problem. I've never cut one apart so I don't know if that's true or not.

I find most people that have wheel balance problems, complain about a vibration at highway speeds.....a lot of the time they don't feel anything before that.

Oh yeah just noticed you said in the steering wheel. Probably a tire either a shifted belt or just out of balance. I thought you meant the vibrating shifter problem so many have.

Could be something as simple as loose driveshaft bolts, thats what it was for me.

there stories of gear swap causing vibrations.
higher gear ratios cause the DS to spins MUCH MUCH faster than it ever had with stock gears. which will cause vibration. each DS will vibrate at a certain speed. which wont have to be worried about with a stock setup bc the DS will never reach at speed where it will vibrate, but a gear swap will let it...
