I tried doing a search but kept getting "no matches" for the result.

Anyway, I'm in the market for a tuner and was looking at both the SF3 and Predator. I can find the predator a bit cheaper than the SCT, and it seems to have the same or better features than the SF3 but I read on diablosports own forum about many owners having issues with glitches after using the tuner like CEL's, erratic and/or hanging idle, lost or scrambled stock tune making the tuner unable to return the car to stock for dealer work or being able make any further changes, and the one I especially liked; having a brand new tuner and unable to use it, needing to wait weeks or even several months for a firmware update to make it compatible for their car even though the tuner was supposed to work on it right out of the box. Even better was the fact that the required cable and module needed to do firmware updates on the tuner do not come with it, they have to be bought separately.

The only issues I've read about with the SF3 so far is apparently it won't recal the speedo for gear changes unless one of its tunes gets loaded 1st, but the predator can make that change while leaving the rest of the tune stock. I kind of like that ability since that would mean I can put a stock tune back in the ECM for dealer service if/when needed but leave the speedo recal in place so I'm not reading some crazy mph on the drive to the dealer (of course this would only be an issue after changing the rear gear, but that mod is going to be done on my car).

So, has anyone experienced any of these issues with their tuner? Are these things typical with any tuner, or primarily a problem just with predators?

So don't change the tune till you get to the dealer? There's a lot more support for SCT than Predator.

I have the SCT tune and JLT cold air, both work great with no issues.

I have the SCT Livewire. When I first got it I had an intermittant problem with it locking up and displaying scrolling garbage on the screen. I called SCT, and left a message because they weren't open when I called. I got a call back as soon as they got the message, but I happened to be out running around for work. The guy asked if I could get to a computer with an internet connection, so I stopped by a starbucks and grabbed a cup of coffee and called him back. Before I could finish my coffee, he had remoted into my laptop and upgrgraded the firmware on my livewire...problem solved. I also asked him about a cable to connect a wideband AFR sensor to the livewire, and he left a diagram showing how to make one on my laptop. IMO you can't beat the support from SCT. The guys there are extremely knowledgable and go out of your way to help you....
