Has anyone installed a 351W in a 95 GT? I am looking at upgrading the old 302 with a 331, 347 or 351W. A friend of mine has a 351 Windsor Engine out of a early 80's Crown Victoria. I know there is a different upper and lower intake and headers for the 351W but will the accessories bolt up? Also, how difficult is this upgrade and is it worth doing when compared to a 331, 347 etc... Thanks in advance for any information.

Search on here and the corral. Many have done it including myself.

The accessories bolt right up. Every single answer that u can think of will be found if you search. Its a straight forward swap. I think its much better than a 331/347 swap because of the ability to go up to a 427. There's no replacement for displacement!

351 stroked components are more expensive. You can still get away with "302" parts on a 351. But proper 351+ parts cost a pretty penny.

where are you buying your parts?? my 408 stroker kit was 200 bucks more then a 347 kit?? other then that everything else is around the same you want to upgrade heads and intake so theose have to be bought and they price differences are a little higher maybe but research and look around and deals can be found

Im not talking rotating assemblbies. Im talking about the heads. The intakes. You have to pay more for parts that flow more air. Deals can always be found but deals arent a given. Cause if you cant find deals, you're stuck with retail prices. And its much easier and more common to find the smaller 302 parts than it is the more rare and bigger 351 parts. It happens, that cant be denied, but like i said, my comment was driven off of retail prices on the parts.

go carbed and what i have seen on head prices you spend alittle more but the gains are worth it compared to what you can get out of a 347

351w block, 302/351w cam, stock accessories, 302/351w heads, 351w swap headers, 351w lower, 302 style upper, 302 throttle body, reuse fuel rails etc, 351w oil pan. Could use crown vic oil pan. 351w distributor. Could use from 351w truck from mid 90's. That is about it.
