Has anyone seen this intake? Is it good? I have never heard of a composite intake for the 5.0 until now. Considering it's composite it probably stays cooler too. Would I be better off with a Trickflow Street Intake or the Comp intake?

I don't know if I buy the part about meeting or exceeding the flow of the GT-40 at all power levels. Not with an intake that still uses the stock lower.

Yea i wouldnt buy it. A bit steap for just an upper intake. Kinda funny they include an instructional video on the install. Pretty simple swap!

Just get a trickflow street heat or edelbrock performer.

i had one on my blower car
it actually would "breathe" when you put boost to it
without the blower it compromised some low end torque but hey if you shift at 7000......

I remember that intake from back in the day. Looked kind of cool then, but hey there wasn't much out there.

Box style uppers were made to aid in high rpm breathing like HRT11 said. They were popular before the likes of the holley, track heat/trick flow r, etc were out. Down's, car tech, and others made similar setups. Some work with the stock lower, some with the GT40. I've seen guys run them, but I'd definitely opt for a longer runner intake.
