I was getting ready to buy one...before I seen the video. $550 for a milk jug is too much!!! If they fix the flexing I might be interested.
This is a bit off topic (well WAY off topic) Your avatar, is that your garage? (VERY nice I must say) My eyes just don't see as well as they used to, I think I see the Stang in the back, but whats that other car, I'm guessing a Dodge Charger.
The reason I ask is simply because I think the two sweet red cars in that spotless garage with the checker board floor is outright AWESOME, my dream garage.
I'm sorry I can't offer any info about the intake, I had no idea there was the problem that you mentioned, would you mind elaborating on the "flexing" that you speak of? It couldn't hurt for me to be armed with this knowledge in case I ever were to look into buying one.

IMO, unless you're running a centri blower or turbo spend your $550 elsewhere.
I believe Ford issued released a statement that the flexing was normal and to be expected. Ford Racing Performance Parts See the blue part at the bottom.
There are other companies that make intake manifolds. This is what I'm looking at: 2005+ C&L 3-VALVE MUSTANG INTAKE MANIFOLD

Ford....flexing is normal...LOL That's all they can say trying to cover their own ASS. The flexing is not normal....it's cheap and poor design. It's funny because I work for Ford.
Ford just fix the Dam thing and quit trying to Bull **** everyone! When they fix it I'll buy one...scared my Procharger D-1 will suck it in and spit it out!

all intakes flex. plastic ones do it more. aluminum flexes more than steel.
you aren't going to make a piece of plastic that bolts to two aluminum heads that are bolted to an aluminum engine with various things hanging off of said engine and not have the little plastic piece between the two heads flex.
thats just ridiculous. ask anybody that knows anything about any material and they'll tell you that without give things break. thats why there are things called tolerances.
dude, if you dont like the flexing then dont buy it. I understand your perspective, but none have failed yet, so you could probably just wait and see. If you're not running a built block/trans, then you're probably beyond your safe limit anyways. I've read that transmissions blow in 5th on the highway with over 500whp.
Have you tried calling tuners to see if the part number has changed since the first batch?
Brenspeed lists theirs with a part number, just like the CNL (known for their re-release), so maybe the frpp was upgraded too. Shoot chandler an email and find out.
