My hatch is leaning to one side about a 1/2 inch. Is there a way I can adjust the hatch, so it lines up perfectely?

I noticed on the left side the black rubber stopper is a little messed up. Could this actually throw my hatch off center????

Or do I have to adjust the "hatch pins" that are up near the roof? Do they have anything to do with side to side movement?

Any ideas? Thanks

mine doesnt line up perfect either ever since my fishtailing into curbage dwi incident. i basically tried everything to get it to line up straight again so somebody should shoot this dude an answer for this question. plus my drivers side door is sagging do i just need new pins to get it to line up perfect again or what? wish i could explain it better

The hatch should be adjusted with the black rubber mounts you see above the tailights. They screw in and out, adjusting up and down as you go. If you need a new one, 5.0Resto has them cheap, or go to a junkyard and you can usually find a good one.

As far as the door sagging, don't use used parts. Go to 5.0Resto or another place that sells this stuff and buy a door bushing and hinge pin set. They are also pretty cheap and are fairly easy to put in. These things just wear out over time, no avoiding it! :nice:

Remove the panel inside the car, over the rear passengers head area, youll see the mounting bolts for the hatch, you can adjust it there, definately have some help, it can be a major PITA to do, youll probably need to adjust the hatch striker when your done, youll need a big torx for that.
