I put on my saleen spoiler and put everything back together shut the hatch now it wont open. If you turn the ket there is no positive click and the release it just makes a 180* turn. How can i pop it open from inside the car? Im working on relocating my battery and need it open quick to finish it up and fire it

Man, if that happened to me, I would crawl on my back to the back of the car, take off the plastic hatch trim cover, and hope and pray you can reach the release latch with a screwdriver or sumthing. Im thinking it probably will end up being pretty easy.

Yeah you gotta climb back there, take the plastic cover off, and try to unscrew the two bolts holding the mech. on. Hatch should come up. I did it a year or so ago so I don't quite remember.

Man, you guys are doing it the hard way. Look on the underside of your hatch. Under the lock. You'll see a plate type of thing held in by a rivvet. Drill out that rivvet, and pull that plate out. It will let the lock be pulled right out, which will also fix your problem of the lock not working. You have to get it back in the slot like it should be. Oh, once the lock is out, take a flat head screw driver that reaches the slot that the lock SHOULD be in, and turn it. Hope that was clear. If not, just ask.

Ive been in the hatch all akward messing with it but the problem is the latch is locked and the mechanism from the key to inside of latch isnt connected and i cant get to where it does go in to manually pop it. I tried to unbolt the whole latch assembly but it wont come out, the latch is locked and wont slide over the nub of the rod it locks around. Starting to really get on my nerves

Gee, if its that easy I better no leave anything valuable in the hatch. Come to think of it, even the door locks are easily opened...time for an obnoxious alarm I think.

Yes. It is VERY easy and ANYONE with a Fox body should have an Alarm. I learned from a thief, but don't bash ME for it. Alarms WILL keep most thieves away. Even if they see a blinky light inside the car, they just pass right on by to the next one that doesn't have an alarm. So, don't be that guy.
