At our big car show today, a guy with a 92 convertible stang told me he has a set of Weld polished aluminum wheels for sale. He quoted me $350-400 for the set. I checked and rechecked, he said they were in excellent condition. I saw a picture on his phone, but of course hard to see in the pic, but they looked nice.

I tried for like an hr to find a picture, but the best I could find is this one. The ones he is selling have about 3-4 lips at the edge that progress in, a hex cap that covers the lugs, and directionals that feather out from the center. This picture shows lots of sharp edges, but the wheels that he is selling do not have that, they are smooth directionals in polished aluminum.

Please take a look at tell me how you think they would look on my car. Remember, this is not an exact picture of the wheels, only the best, closest I could find.

Some chrome pony's would go pretty nice with your car IMO. Not a fan of those wheels honestly........

Remember, the picture has some radical points that the ones I'm looking at don't. I would never put them on my car, the ones in the pic. I don't know, my 10 holes I have had for 14 years, but are still in very good condition. I just got new tires about 3 months ago too. Maybe its just not what I need to do right now.

Still looking for more opinions, Thanks

I was looking through the pictures that I took at the show and I found the wheels, but on a streetrod.

Now what do you think?

This is what the guy was driving that has them for sale. He also has an ASC McClaren

I'd say I don't like those much either, but people make fun of my wheels all the time, so I may not be the best judge

That calypso vert is friggin' AWESOME

If I had noticed when I took the pic that they were the same I would have taken one without the dog, but "hind leg is 20/20" lol.

Still not sure they are what I am looking for, but the price is good.

Keep the opinions coming.

Do you really give a rats ass about what others think about your car? If you like them, get them, if your undecided, try to find a better pic and get the photochoped...

I mean seriously, this thread is just asking for everyone to say no they hate them because they aren't the normal stang wheel.

I don't think they would look so great on a Stang. But like mentioned, you have to see them on there, or at least photoshopped. It does seem like a good deal if they're mint. You could always just buy them and if you don't like them make some money on them.

If you want my opinion, on a mainly stock car like yours I don't think those rims would look nice at all. A bit too flashy if you ask me. I know they're pretty popular but I think some pony rims would look the best on your car.

they're okay on a fox, I've seen them on a coupe... Not my style, it all depends if you like them or not. I think the 10 holes fit your car so dang good.

I'm not very up on wheel prices but another take:

Even if you are not sure about them, if you can unload them later for what you pay now or more, why not take a stab at 'em?

That's just one way I justify buying crap I don't really want. I can't afford new stuff so I settle for used (even if it's not what I want) because it's a good deal.

I gotta say that I agree with the other guys though. You have the nicest phone dial wheels (I didnt want to say you have nice 10 holes cuz that sounds sick ) I've seen. They really do fit your car nicely (they look so nice I dont see them as a set of 10 holes).

Good luck with the decision Anthony.

If someone could chop 'em for you, that'd really help.

Well, I was able to find some affordable tires Nexen N2000. They have the tread pattern I am looking for and I will only be using them about 9 months of the year. The other 3 I will put the "10 holes" back on for winter, since they have all season tires on them.

These are the tires.

I can get the wheels and tires for $700.

I photoshopped a pic of them on there, pretty crude pic, but gives some idea.
