Have a check for $4k, need opinions on what to do with it

My .02 build an awesome drivetrain and rear end. No point in building a 325+rwhp car and having to baby it in fear of breaking something. Stock 5.0 can bust a t5. My little list:
G-force tranny-2g's
Center force clutch or the like-350
Aluminum D/S-220
31 sline axles moser,Auburn diff. $550 LCA (I like steeda & UPR)-250
Total-3370 (+/-) parts only.

I already have an al ds, and I already need a rear end clucth rebuild and probably would do clutch at the same time. I know the tranny is the weak link, but I'm not going to upgrade it till it breaks. It never grinds or pops out of gear, so I'll leave it be for now.

I def appreciate the advice from everyone as far as the cost of HCI goes. I'm pretty set on a VQ S-trim, LT headers & full new exhaust, and if $$ allows an intake at that time also.

I'll def do the intake and headers myself, as that stuff can be done before putting the blower on. I'm undecided on whether to do the blower myself, and install quotes will make that decision for me. The thing is that most shops will give you a break on install & tune prices if you buy the parts from them and have them install them.

yea, but installing a blower is easy man...if you can do an intake and other bolt ons, you can definately do a blower....its just one, big powerful bolt-on afterall

Yep, thats what I'm hoping. How decent are the instructions from vortech? I'd like to install it myself and then have the shop that is dynotuning it check every other and make sure I didnt mess anything up.

The thing is that if having the shop install it saves me a couple hundred off tuning costs, then I will have to consider how much its really worth to do it myself. I work about 70hrs/week, midnight shift. So its not extremely easy to dedicate a weekend to do it.

The S-trim isn't a bad way to go at all. That's my plan for the spring, and I got an estimate from a shop in Grand Rapids, MI for ~$4700.00 That's with 42# injectors, the SC, install and dyno tune/chip burn. I still have to factor in an MAF and a possible TB, but that only adds another few hundred bucks.
