Do you have the metal spacer plates or did someone use washers instead of the spacers?

This is like 20 questions.

Are the washers between the spindle and struts or are they under the heads of the bolts and nuts?

I think what he is asking is that if the spacer is between the spindle and struts, you will needs it back in,even if it is a real tight fit ( I seen shops used a hammer and gently tap it back in). There should be 1 spacer on each side of the strut.
