have this roaring noise.....help!!!

have this noise.coming from front end.....help!!!

I have an 02 GT 5spd..with 75k miles couple of days ago I started noticed a roaring/moaning type noise its like something isnt greased the faster I go the louder it gets ...when i go 50mph or above i can slightly feel it in the pedals and it feels like its coming from the front pass side.... what could this be any ideas?....wheel bearing......or something I called oriellys and they said $58 for a hub assembly......is this what I need thanks

You can check your own wheel bearings with the wheel on.
Jack up the wheel and put your hands on opposite sides of the tire (like 9 and 3 o'clock) and try to shake it side to side at various points to see if there is any play.
You can also take the hub assembly apart, if you want, to check it the hard way. In doing so, you might find the real problem.

I have a 97 gt with the same problem. At about 55/60 it's defening. I found the the hub assembly at advance for 56 bucks.

it is the front hubs.. i usually do them both at the same time but if you listen carefully you can figure out witch one it is.

i know this is an old post, but rather than make a new post, I will ask anyway. I just installed a new spindle and am getting ready to put a new hub on also. Do i just slide the new hub onto the new spindle and torque the retainer nut down or do i need to grease anything first?
