having a b**** of a time

Trying to get the electric connections off the injectors and having a hell of a time. Have the upper and all the other hoses off, but no luck with the injectors. Is there some tool to use to help remove these damn things or what? Screwdriver does fit in to pry the piece off, so what to do now? Any simple solutions? Just can't get this intake swap done!!!!!! Still got so far to go and already spent two days working this and that to get the damn thing as far as it is..... ARG Also, who's done what as far as moving the fuel lines or disconnected them all or what have u done to keep that stuff out of the way to get to the intake?

Been there.

I have found that the connector comes off alot easier if you break one of the clips off. I wasn't trying this on purpose, but after taking things apart a few times, all of my connectors are half busted.

If you don't want to break them (and you probably shouldn't), maybe some penetrating lube will help.

Or, maybe pull the injectors out of the rails, so that they are all hanging loose by the connector. That may give you enough free room to work them apart.

When i did my intake swap my injector connectors just pulled right off .
As for the fuel rails you need to go to your local auto parts house and buy the little plastic tool to unhook ford fuel lines, they range from 4.99-19.99 around here. With that tool you dissconnect the fuel lines where the little round things are.

Got fuel lines finally. Took some tweaking and pulling but everything came apart great. Now I got a problem with some stupid bracket that was connected to the furthest back driver side lower to the furthest back passenger side upper. need to cut it or something, any ideas? Plus one of the bolts on the passenger side has a bracket screwed to it that connects to coolant lines and is being a pain to remove? Any experience with that?

for the injectors, ive done it so many times i can do it with one hand...I push the connector all the way (left or right) so the opposite side latch unhooks then i use my thumb or other hand to hold it so it doesnt latch back on then turn it the connector back to the middle or to the opposite direction of before and the other should latch off....it does take practice, (i have broken 2 of mine) the biggest pain is the one right under the fuel pressure regulator....Ive never disconnected the fuel line apart, when i did my intake or motor swap, i just unbolted it and twisted it out of the way...(after disconnecting it from the little thin mount that bolts onto one of the lower head bolts...held on by a 14mm but BTW



I think i no what little bracket ur talking about, it basically connects the upper to the lower i think? held on by 1/2 inch nuts? ive only seen this once since no one ever puts them back on the intake...only saw it on a bone stock mustang before

and for the coolant line bracket its also held on by a 1/2 inch but (or 13mm) and u have to lift it up over the stud and get it out of the way so u can loosen the lower intake bolt... Good Luck
