Hey all, I sent my Cobra Upper Intake out to Ken at www.vp-concepts.com for polishing work. He did some work for Masonozz, who recommended him to me. Anyhow, here's some pics. Hopefully I'll be able to post more progress pics and the final product when all is said and done. Enjoy.....

Gonna look sweet when it's done! How much will the polishing set you back?

That's a bargain. Polishing is a long, tedious process.

$200 is a sweet deal, we had over 40 hours in our upper from start to finish, but it is near perfect now.....

It's not finished yet.. It is in the beginning stage. And yes, it's just the outside. Check back again later to see it completed!!

Well depending on how you want the outside to look $200 can be cheap. We stack multiple wheels on our large polisher and it still takes some work. However 95% of the work is in the prep, removing the epoxy paint, sanding it perfectly smooth no air pockets, sand voids etc..then polishing to a mirror finish. Then lower is a real pain...

I checked out your site, very nice stuff.... How much to have a blower head unit polished, Vortech, ATI or Paxton?

Looks awesome, I can't wait to send mine after X-mas. He quoted me $250 to polish the upper and the TB.

A blower will be 300-350 depending on what it's going on. Modular superchargers are easier to do because the really difficult part is facing rearward towards the engine, so that part doesn't have to be polished. On the 5.0's it's more because it takes almost a day longer to do the "honey comb" shaped part...

That is down right beautiful...

Wish I had the funds for it, but suspension has sucked up my money this winter lol.

I've got more hours in preping and polishing alumimum peices over the last two yrs than I can recall, and I consider myself quite good at it. With all my time in, and my pride in my work, I have to say that your finished product is just fantastic...I am more than impressed and will consider you for future projects, your price vs product just makes it too much of a deal not to.

Was it the polished one already, or did you get the satin and are now polishing it out?

Thanks! I try to look out for my fellow stang enthusiasts! My concept is that I know what it feels like to want parts and nice things for your car, but it's out of reach because of cost!! I can offer good deals because I specialize in Mustang parts..
