ok, I am currently setting aside money out of my check to build up my 331 stroker, but in the mean time I am going to use the stock motor and just slap some GT-40p's and a B303 cam in it. Before I do this, besides buying the cam and the heads I want to know EVERY single peice I need to buy to make it work so I can get a rough estimate of how much it is, and whether it is worth it to spend the money to do that and run around w/ it for a year or so while I am saving up money.

intake gaskets
head gaskets
timing cover gaskets
head bolts
header bolts
gt-40's i think you can reuse the pushrods. But it might be a good idea to replace the lifters and pushrods. Maybe the rockers too.
timing chain and sprockets
balancer
RTV

thread sealant
5 qts motor oil
2 gallons antifreeze
bottle of cam break-in lubricant.

You'll also need a torque wrench, and that's all I can think of for now.

EDIT: Thought of some more:
feeler gauge
fuel line disconnect tool (if you wanna take the fuel rails completely off)
timing light

where do you find the mexican blocks though? and arent they non-roller blocks??

They are not roller blocks. You'd need to buy link bar lifters to make it roller capable. Their about $400 for those lifters.
