hello all. here is my situation, i am getting water in my oil, i just did a compression test on each cylinder and ther are all coming up between 150-160 psi. can safely rule out a head gasket? i was assuming if my head gasket gave out i would have less psi in the bad cyl. any advise would be apprecited. would it be wise to lean towards a leaking water passage gasket.
ps i dont have white smoke from the exhaust, and car seems to be running fine.

The combustion chambers are seperate from the coolant and oil passages, so it is still possible you have a blown head gasket even though there is no loss of compression. It just depends on where the gasket is blown. Another possibility could be a coolant leak from the lower intake getting into the lifter valley. Hopefully the short head bolts have sealer on the threads, or you could get leaks from there as well.

I had this happen on my 88 GT. The compression test checked out, but my car was overheating at random. Turned out to be a head gasket.

the car is not overheating and seems to be running fine. today i pumped up the cooling system with air, i did find a leak behind the water pump. i let it sit for a while pumped it back up to max psi, then with the plugs out i cranked the motor, i didnt see any water/antifreeze blowing out the plug holes.
