Head rest question

How do the head rests come out of the seats?

Theres a clip holding them in. unzip the back of the seat. Stick your arm up until you feel the headrest. Push down on the headrest with the other arm and youll feel the clip pop up. Pull it a bit out with your thumb or small skrewdriver than while holding the clip out pull the headrest out with the other ar,.

If it's a vert, probably with great difficulty. The metal in there can get rusty.

You can also push a hacksaw-blade down the support shaft for the headrest (from the top).

Thanks I will keep that in mind. The seat tracks had a lot of surface rust on them when i got it, so they probably are. I too the tracks off the seat and sanded them down and painted them when I installed the new carpet.

They wont have moch rust on them.the seat tracks always have surface rust.

How would someone know this? Even desert cars often have some rust on those parts (top down during a light rain, etc). A light surface rust is all it takes to make the pieces difficult to separate.
