Header clearance question....

Hey guys just wndering what you guys are running for plug wires whn using equal length shorties. I have the stock Motorcraft wires and at least one of the plug boots is laying right on the headers because of the angle. Im trying to find my motorsport catalog to see if the FRPP plug wires are angled any different. Let me know what you guys have run into. Thanks,

Vince. For the money you would be better off getting wires with more clearence.

The best fitting wires I have seen are Taylor Spiro Pro's. They have the smallest boot available and the boot is part of the wire. It's is silicone and won't pull off when trying to get them off the plug because they are 1 peice.

They can be had for around $45-49.

The MSD wires i just got are made so you can bend them to w/e angle you need. That was very helpful when tryin to get them routed around my shorties.

Thanks sleeper..thats what im starting to think about,even though i just threw on brand new Motorcraft wires less than 2 weeks ago. AJ where did you get your wires, i just looked through Jegs catalog and didnt see them. Also what did you pay for them? Thanks a bunch guys.

You can get the Taylors at either Summit or Jegs. Just order the ones with the 130 degree boot for small block Ford.

That looks like them... I can check my order from summitracing when i get home so you can have the exact part number. Dont member how much i payed for them, but if i member correctly around 90 bucks.

that always happens when you put equal length shorties on stock heads.the msd flexable wires like chromdoutdubs said usually work.

OK cool thanks guys...we threw the hight emp socks on for now. But i will more than likely order the MSD wires when i order a FPR to fix my slight miss around 35-45mph in overdrive
