Header Help!!

Got around to puttin' on my BBK equal lenght ceramic shorties on tonight. Couple of issues. Steering coupler just barely rubs the header. Anyone have a fix for this that doesn't involve removing the header? Also, there is a leak at the header to h-pipe connection, it's tight but leaks. Any fixes you all have gotten lucky with.

There were no leaks w/ my factory headers.

For the leak you can put some silicon or something like that. That is if the silicon hold with that kind of heat.

silicon wont do a thing. you might have to bend the h pipe a little bit with a prybar or something. or just unhook it and try it again. as far as the header hitting the steering coupler....just gonna have beat the header with a hammer to get it to fit. or get one of those steering shafts from maximum motorsports.

Mine doesnt line up if i connect it at the x pipe first then i go to install it at the header. so i have to hook it up to the header flange little loose then hook it to the x pipe then tighten them both.

Thanks, got it covered. I'm gonna' use some alignment shims from work and shim the motormounts to clear the steering shaft and try some exhaust sealer on the flange.
