Hey all, I am in the process of installing MAC equal length shortys on my car. We got the passengers side in no problems. Now we are stuck on the drivers side, We just can not get it to fit in there, we already removed the two bronze ac lines out of the way and it seems every time we try to get it in we get stuck on the motor mount, the steering linkage or the brake lines. So does anybody know an easier way to get that sucker in there? It seems very close it just wont go though. Thanks in advance....

Try removing the steering linkage. Take the one bolt out at the bottom of it (all the way out) and it should slide up to give you some more room. If that doesn't do it, unbolt the motor mounts and lift it about 4"s and it will go.

unblot and push to the side the valve cover. It usually gives just enough extra clearance to make them pop right in

Thanks very much, we unbolted the steering linkage and got it in there, now the headers are in and the linkage is back together, still a little more work to go. Thanks again though...
