The bolts/studs on my header panel are stripped out. Debating if I should drill out the plastic and use a bolt with washer and nut or purchase a new header panel from LMR. What do you guys recommend? Is it a PITA to replace the panel from the bumper cover?
Why not just use some two part epoxy for fiberglass and glue them in? I would chase the threads with die on the stud and then run the threads on the nut with a tap before hand.
I only had one bolt pull out. Those bolts can somewhat be reached if you pull the parking light out, so i ended up bolting through it.
If i had more and wanted to make a permanent repair, I think I would look into an epoxy repair and then drill/tap and reinstall a doubled ended bolt like this, perhaps with a nut on the backside to hold it.
