I know that i have asked numerous questions about which headers to choose, but i still havent recieved a definitive answer. I have narrowed it down to three headers. The tri-y ($160), heddman long tube ($180), and patriot clippster ($200). Which is best for my 289 automatic v8?

monkey, get the best Heddman for your application.

Some are a little slow to respond but StangNet is where it is happening.

Tri-Y's

Some here do not like the Tri-y's some do...

I personally do...

I also highly recommend getting the ceramic coating no matter what you get, they will last longer, and stay looking good longer!

The tri-y were designed for the mustang, and do not have the ground clearance issues that other headers often have.

It is true they have welds and "could" fail from frequest heat cycles, but my opinion is that it is unlikely and may members here have tri-y's and most all of them like them.

Do an advanced search and use my alias I posted some pre installed pics of my ceramic tri-y's from MustangsUnlimited.

I was down to the patriot "clippster" style and the tri-y's but no one had used the clippsters and the tri's were fairly highly recommended...

Just my opinion and what I found...
