Base timing is what everyone is talking about. It advances quite a bit under throttle. Stock base timing is 10* if im not mistaken. Im running right around 15* on mine... it made a difference.

Each car is different though. Some will handle quite a bit of advance before they start pinging/detonation and some dont like much advance at all. Play with it in small increments to make sure the car isnt pinging. If it starts back it down a degree or two.
