It seems like H-pipes aren't as common in 5.0 exhaust set ups. Any reason for that? I generally like the muscle car sound of H-pipes compared to the raspy Nascar sound of X-pipes.

I don't know much about exhaust but I heard X pipes flow better then H pipes. Is there any truth to that?

X's do flow a teeny bit better. I have heard they are worth single number gains in hp. Not worth it if you'd rather have the H-pipe low growl. I didn't like the raspy "ferrari" sound with my headers and switched back to an H. Love it now.
