I broke a header bolt a while ago when I installed my X Pipe and I sealed it up with a C Clamp but recently the clamp fell off and it's about time to get headers. I want to do long-tubes but I don't feel like changing my X Pipe so I'll just get another kind. Should I get shorties or unequal length. What is the difference and will one add more HP than either one. Also what kind of gains can I see from headers with my mods? Thanks.

I've run equal length shorties and now I'm running long tubes. IMO the equal lengths are a pain in the butt (special spark plug wires or burnt wires, difficult to change spark plugs etc.) for not much more performance gain than standard shorties. If your'e not going long tubes I recommend regular shorties.

What other people have been saying, I talked to Anderson Ford Motorsport and they told me that equal length are a huge pain to install/take out/work around for maybe a 1-2 h.p. difference. I like my FMS shortys a lot, only wish I had the ceramic coating. But for the moeny, BBK's are probably the best you'll find.
