Let's hear some opinions. Still have the factory shorties on. Wanna stay with shorties cause I still have to run my cats every 2 years for emmissions testing. Not interested in buying a catted pipe to run long tubes just for that.

So I want to hear any opinions on brands, fit, price, ease of installation and performance.

Thanks

Bernie

I have BBK cermic coated shortys. Fit very nice just make sure to run a tap thru the two collector holes. Makes it a lot easier to install the studs for each header. If money in not a concern then the Anderson Ford Motorsports 1 3/4 shorty's by Bassani will even flow enough for that future blower.

If you're gonna go with equal length, then I'd get MAC, and if you're getting unequal, I'd get FRPP.
Well that poses another question. What's the difference between equal lenght and unequal lenght.

 Already have the blower!!:D See my sig :nice:

On an equal length header, each tube is the same length, vwhereas an unequal lenght header has different length tubes. Examples below.

Equal lengths will make more power in the low-midrange, but will lose out about 2-5 hp up top to unequals. Unequals will make more peak power, but you will feel more SOTP from equal-lengths. Equal lengths though make plug changes more difficult.

I have the FRP ceramic headers and they fit and look great.I am not convinced there is any appreciable difference to justify the extra install hassle of equal lengths.A mostly academic exersize at these lengths.

Thanks I knew the diff physically but not power and mounting wise!!:nice:
