I have equal length headers on my 1990 5.0 and the passenger side headers keep coming loose.....it sounds like crap and i wish there was a way i could get them to stay tight longer. what do you guys suggest to keep them tight? thanks

Stage 8 locking header bolts. Over, done with. Copper gaskets can also aid in fighting off those annoying header leaks but not necessary. Get those bolts, you won't have that problem again. This is if they're coming loose at the head. If it's at the collector, you might need new bolts.

The first one. I've installed them on two cars and neither had anymore header leaks.

I've never had locking header bolts (too cheap), I always just re-tighten them frequently after installation (pretty much every time the engine gets hot and cools off), and after about the 4th time they usually stop loosening up.

The locking header bolts are definitely the way to go though. Don't be cheap like me, it costs you more in the long run.

If you dont want to get locking Header Bolts then get Bolts with drilled heads then you can safety wire them in place after you torque them.
