I know most of you recommend the Sylvania Silverstars. My first question is are the PIAA's better if money is not a factor? My second question is I have seen offroad use only bulbs. The standard buld is a 9007 with wattage of 65/55. The offroad bulbs are 9007 with 100/80 watt. Anyone have any experience with the higher wattage bulbs. And can the factory wiring handle the extra draw. Thanks for your help guys.

I run Silverstar Headlights, and Foglights.

Combined they are bright enough for me.

The PIAA's are the best... but for $80 a set that is way too expensive I think.. Even where I work my price is $60.. **** that... Just got with the Silverstars or if you live in PA find an A&A auto and get the bulbs they have on sale... They're like $10 for two and brighter than wagners or sylvias.

I have silverstars in my headlights and I had them in my fog lights, but they kept blowing and I got tired of spending $20 everytime one went out. I just bought two OEM replacements and they havent blown and I can actually see a difference when I turn them on and off as opposed to the silverstars where I couldnt. But there is a big difference when it comes to the headlights. The Silverstars are MUCH brighter.

Is there a noticeable color difference in the light?

SLIGHT bluish tint when I went from OEM to Silverstars. Thats just from inside the car. I dont know if you can notice a difference looking at the headlights.

I like my silverstars too. I would say its brighter than stock but its just more of a white light, i dont notice much bluish.

My stock fogs are leaking now and one of my lights blew out. Should i get some aftermarket clears, or just try to seal them up?

I would just clean the lenses and seal them up.

I picked up the silverstars today. We'll see how they look tonight. Thanks for the input guys. Once I get the motivation to do some rewiring I might upgrade to higher wattage bulbs.

I run Silverstar's as well. I like them better than any of the previous 5 or so bulbs I've tried. They light up a nice bright white. Just don't get the "cool blue" ones. I wish they had never invented those things.
