I have seen alot of threads on this but have not found my awnser

I am looking to for a quality replacemet headlight kit. I replaced the factory lights on my 1992 Coupe in 2004 with repro lights. The car has been garage kept since 2006 and the lights are already yellowing.

Anybody had good luck with a particular kit ? I would prefer not to do this job every 5 years

What brand were the repro lights? I just bought a set of repro"s through LRS. The whole 6 piece kit. The brand it says on the box is DEPO. Just want to know if I have the same ones. Right now, they are crystal clear.

They had a couple Ford kits in stock, but the price of those were outrageous. They are running out..don't think Ford is still making them now.

Use a buffer at low RPM or mini dual action sander w/ wool pad and medium cut rubbing compound this will clear them up then switch to a polish and and a black foam pad. If there really bad use 1000 grit then 1200 grit up to 1500 grit sand paper.

I do not remember what brand of light installed.

I will have to try polishing the lights before I replace them. Do you pull them from the car before polishing of just leave them installed. I guess if I mess up the headlights I have nothing to lose since I was planning on buying a new pair anyway

You can clean them up while on the car. I've been cleaning mine up on both my 92 and 96 for years. Gets tiring tho. I'll get them so clear, I'll scrub it down with 800 to get the yellow out then go to 1500 .. then polish them. 2 weeks later they look like crap again. Don't do it my way tho, the finish on mine is long gone so it can take a scrubbing. I've got 2 sets.. I took the stock ones off my 96 and put on a used set of SVT lights. They arent any better off than the stock lights.

If you look on the bottom of the lens, usually where it will say "Ford" it will have some other brand name. Can you take a pic of them?
