Headlight seals (black plastic) question

Searched and never found a good answer. I'm about to buy a set of replacement headlights (kit) and wondered if I had to buy the black seals, too.

The ones on my current setup have been siliconed onto the headlights. I havent' pulled them, yet, but I only want to place one order.

What has everyone else done?

Thanks in advance.

some come with everything some don't. the ones i got from texashotrods didn't come with anything, but i know of some sets that do, and even come with the mounting plate too and screws... just depends i guess.

You said your old ones are siliconed in. Does that mean the little metal tabs that normally hold the seal to the headlight are broken? If so, then you should buy new ones.

If your old seals are in good shape and the metal tabs are there, then just reuse those. It really depends on how they look and if they are still in good working order. Personally I bought new ones because mine were kind of haggard, I didn't want to put in new lenses and use old dirty seals.
