SOOO.....after a few week of frustration and waiting on parts I've finally got my 93 up and running. Idle issue was dialed down to a faulty new MAF, which was replaced with a 94-95 style. Car atleast runs but not perfect. Newest issues have been lights. While taking the clear cluster off to replace with new non-cloudy piece I noticed my headlight switch harness wiring was butchered up pretty good. At the time the cars marker lights and headlights worked (both low beam and high beam) The headlights (one piece lenses) were wired wrong giving a high beam dash light constantly. Fixed that issue by rewiring the headlights and VIOLA, everything worked fine. Once dash was apart I decided to replace the harness to the headlight switch to avoid issues in the future. NOW comes the issue. Since then the headlights haven't worked. I found no power going to the red/yellow wire on my multifunction switch so I found a barely used one (MF switch) and replaced it. Now I still have no power to the headlight switch. I noticed that the plug to the multifunction switch for the headlights had a burn mark in it (in the area of the red/black plug). Now, if I hook a jumper wire from the battery straight to the wires for the MF switch harness I have headlights. Is it possible that I have 2 bad MF switches or that my headlight switch is shot?
Sorry this is jumbled, I have one eye half open. Trying to avoid spending amounts of money 'chasing' a problem if it's something easy. Any help appreciated.
