I was wondering if anyone know if the glue you buy for gluing in a headlinder is just contact cement. I am putting the headliner in my 70 and running a little short on glue and hate to have to order more. It smells just like contact cement.
Thanks Scott

Contact cement isn't exactly the same thing as headliner glue. Call up a local uphostry shop they should have some of the correct glue for ya pretty cheap. Either that or go buy 3M super trim adhesive.

I don't see why you can't use a little contact cement sparingly, its going to be up under the rear window seal or front trim strip anyway...

I think it is close enough to the same stuff. When they covered my rear deck, they sprayed both surfaces with 3M, and let it set. Then but the 2 together for adhesion. Similar to contact cement.

That's 5000 guys and gals.
