My headliner is falling not along the front windshield or the rear, but in the middle! When I drive it makes a ungodly amount of creaking and noise. Does anyone know how to fix this? I was thinking you might be able to take the light out and shoot glue up in there or something?

Haha, so I am guessing it is fairly common and there is no known fix for it? I wouldnt say it is falling I guess. But I would say about 3/4 to 1 inch of room in the middle to push up on before i hit the roof.

take the headliner off...comletely out. get some of that 3M Adhesive Spray...spray down the entire headliner board. Then put the carpet back on it...and take a rolling pin and roll it back on...should be good for another 5 years.

also while you're at it...buy some Dynamat and cover the bottom of the roof with it, this will help reduce some interior cabin noise, then put your headliner back on. wa la!! all done.

im with EPIK on this one... simple fix if there is a strange noise just turn up the radio but no seriously mixedbreed was right. It shouldnt be that hard to take it out and get it to adhere back to the roof of the car with a little bit of the 3m treatment

I'm adding some dynamat right now, I thought I had all the headliner fasteners off, how does it come down? I expected it to drop, is seems like there is something securing the board to the roof twards the back in the middle?

Edit: I figured it out, it was glued to the roof. Also I didn't know the sn95's don't have a crossbar in the center of the roof.

I am really needing to fix this headliner now. I talked to a couple people today and they said that the rattle noise I hear that is driving me nuts is a metal crossbar that is loose and i need to repad it. Has anyone done this? What all needs to come come off to get the headliner out? The body shop said that the headliner is not glued to the roof but I had thought it was. The cloth is fine sticking to the board. It is the board sticking to the roof (metal) that I have problems with. Help me please!

Edit: oh yah, i bought dynamat today so im ready this time.

I would like to know how to pull this also without breaking anything or cutting off a finger.
I tried to pull my headliner this weekend but couldn't get it to come down.. Removed every screw, all pillars, and weather striping but it was stuck up and i split my finger open so i gave up. (didn't need blood all over the place). Anyway :bump:

I'm thinking there may be the metal rods running across that have to be bent little to get it to pop out but I'm just guessing.
