I have a 01' GT and been thinking about putting a kenne bell on it for a while. Now im thinking that i may do heads and cams instead, maybe a little cheaper. I know the blower will make more power but im not sure which route to go. I have the normal bolt ons already. this is a weekend cruiser with low miles. And which heads and cams to get if i go that way and also info on tuning. Any help would be nice

The cams you pick should be determined considering your end goal. Will you eventually put the KB on anyway? If so, you should get blower cams. If you are going to stay N/A, get N/A cams.

For heads, just get whatever you can afford and are comfortable driving. Generally, the higher the stage # (Stage 1, 2, 2.5, 3/race, ...) the worse the drivability, the more power potential. Although I think going with say, race-ported heads on a mildly modified engine, wouldn't make much more power than Stage 1 or so heads. Its about increasing the potential of the engine.

I would say get all of it, in the long run. Doesn't matter which order. Blower cams will make power on a N/A set up. The KB can give you instant satisfaction now. Then the heads/cams can be added (along with a built bottom end) as you hunger for more.

One or the other can be done on the stock bottom end, but getting both blower and h/c will most likely require forged internals.

If it's just a weekend cruiser, I'd go with some power. Supercharge it.

Heads, cams and full bolt ons only prove to be just over 300 around here, unless you were going stage 34123123 on everything. I'm not saying thats not still fun.. but you can have lots more fun with the power from a s/c setup.

Like Geoff said, you can always do heads and cams later.

SUPERCHARGER! Trust me a supercharger, especialy a KB, will bring a smile to your face everytime you drive the car. Not saying the heads and cams wont but not like a supercharger.

go with a blower.

heads + cams + valve springs + gaskets + tune is almost the same as a mongoose kit.

I think you should go for the supercharger as well. As it's already been said, all the parts and labor you spend on the h/c will cost almost the same amount as a blower.
