just for future reference...i was wondering how much it would cost to swap out stock heads & cams to performance ones? and what kind of gains would you get on a 2000 gt after the install?

i would steer clear of those patriots, i have heard some very bad things about them, especially with the internals. you should try to get your heads ported and go for some good cams, either good NA ones or blower cams. VT and comp are very nice. also, consider a custom grind. The vt heads flow very well, as do the MPH ones.

oh i thought you were going with a P-51 to compliment the P&P'd heads. I like the way it looks installed in the car.

Don't forget you'll almost certainly need valve springs. Which I hear is a PITA to put in. Actually it's the valve springs that have kept me from doing cams already.
