Heads!!! Help???

ok thanks. one more thing what kind of headers would i need? Can i get some long tube headers because i was thinking about getting some bbk long tube headers. Or what other types can i buy?

for what its worth, if you havent bought the P heads yet, i wouldnt. the difference between the P head and the standard gt40 iron is very minimal. plus spending upwards of 250 for a set of headers for a head swap is wrong lol. in my opinion i'd either get the gt40 irons and port them or get something else. just my .02:nice:

I think its the bbk longtubes I heard that work, but I think you still have to make a custom spark plug socket to be able to reach the spark plugs. Do some searching on the long tubes, theres tons of info on this forum about the p heads. I would just go with the frpp headers. Thats what I did and they work perfect.

So I shouldn't get the gt40-p or yes? I mean I was gonna get new headers anyways.

you can get them if you want. im just biased on parts that require over 200 bucks to make them work "right" lol. you can get a set of 85 gt only carb'd 5 speed heads, they are closed chambered which raises your compression ratio and will feel the same in performance and you can still use your stock headers. reman heads where i live are 250 a piece assembled. just my .02:nice:

+1.. By the time you are done buying the heads, rebuilding/porting the heads, and getting specific headers, you are close to the cost of a used set of aluminum heads.
