I worked for most of the afternoon yesterday and got pretty far. The heads rockers and lower intake are now on, along with the fuel rails. I will hopefully get everything else put together this evening, and then turn the key and pray.......... Here are some pics of my progress, let me know how everything looks, I'm still really nervous about this....

Heads On

Are you using stock valve covers with those Comp Cams Pro Mags? Did you have to do any grinding? How'd the cam degreeing go? What kind of pushrods did you end up using? Looks good so far, can't wait to see it all put together.

Looks good. Will thoes valve covers clear the rockers? Looks like you got a thicker gasket on there than stock.

Yeah, those are the stockers. I haven't had to do any grinding yet. I stuck the VC's on a turned the engine over by hand a few times and the rockers don't hit, so I should be OK. The cam degreeing went pretty well, I just took my time and read the directions about 50 times. The cam was about 1/2 degree off if I did it right, not too bad. The pushrods I got from Ed. I think they are made by Engine Works if I remember right.

I knew the Comp Cam Pro Mags will work with stock VC with Stock gaskets... thats one reason why Comp Pro Mags will work on 302 motors up to 97 with no modifications. But that all depends on the Cam... for red94fiveo.... how you like the rockers and heads so far?? Also did you get the upgraded ARP bolts??

Last question what Rockers did you get 3/8 or 7/16

what cam you running Bling... I want to make a list of cams at least lift are used with the Comp Pro Mags since they fit under stock covers.. I've done an E-Cam and F-cam install with those rockers thats it.. Mine is the 2040 Crane Cam (E-Cam) so i know I won't have a problem...

As soon as I get the car running I'll let you know how I like everything. And yes, I got the ARP bolts for both the heads and intake. The rockers are 3/8.

As far as the list of cams that will work with the pro magnums, I'll won't contribute to that list since I have a custom cam, sorry guys.

Good luck with everything and let us know the moment it starts up. If it helps your conscious any, you're helping me with this too since I'll be doing a H/C swap in a couple months.

How much can you buy a set of Comp pro mags for? I definitely would like a set of those to save the hastle of grinding the VC's. These are real good rockers aren't they?

I wonder how many custom FTI cams Ed has sold to Stangnet members? It'll be great to have a ton of people to help out with tuning and stuff.

In the first pic I saw that you installed the spider thing that is next to the lifters upside down

Just kidding

Stay after it!

You'll have it running in no time

The frams just the break-in oil filter. It'll get ditched in a couple days after I start her up.
