I just got some heat resistant paint that says its good upto 1200 degrees

Can I spray this stuff on my mufflers, x pipe etc...??

Just want to make sure before I start spraying, thanks for any help coming my way :nice:

It'll be good up to maybe the h-pipe to headers flange. Beyond that, it will just burn right off the headers. It's good stuff and it's ceramic so it is very resistant chipping. I spray the entire underside of the car with this stuff. The 500 degree stuff is super shiny so you can paint other stuff with it. I've painted rocker panels using the 500 degree stuff and it has a deep gloss like air compressor sprayed paint.

1200 degrees paint, worth it

hey crazy pete thanks for the quick response, I think i'll try it on my pipes....so the 500 degrees will hold up on valve covers...all I found was the 1200 and its kinda flat color, I was't too concerned because it was for the undercarrage, but if Im doing under the hood im looking for a shiny look like you said, where'd you get the 500 degrees paint from???
