I have a '67 GT fastback purchased in California this past spring. I live in Michigan and this will be the car's first real winter. I have already put the car up for storage in my attached, unheated garage (car cover, stabil, dryer sheets in the interior for the mice, etc...). A classic car storage facility just opened 2 miles from my home. It is heated, alarmed and has a fire sprinkler system. I don't really have the extra $100 a month to spend on the storage facility, but I worry about what moisture might do to the car in my unheated garage. Am I being paranoid (my wife's claim) or should I find the extra $100 a month to keep the car in a heated location? The car has no rust and I want to keep it that way.

Is piece of mind to you worth $100 a month? If I lived in a climate like yours I would not hesitate to spend the $ for the storage.

PS
ask your wife if her hobby (whatever it may be) is worth $100 a month for piece of mind.

I think you are wasting $100/mo for that. If you are really worried about it, buy a space heater and put it in your garage with it set at 40 or something.

Seriously, what do you think the unheated air is going to do to the car??
