Any one know were I can get the heli coil inserts that go in front of the heads I had a set of stock heads worked and they came back missing the inserts
well it sounds like he wants the inserts so he can bolt his accessories up, not plug the hole.
You can get a heli-coil kit from the auto-parts store for around $20. I would probably see if the dealership has the inserts first though because heli-coiling mine was a PITA, but they were also on the car.
Tried the auto parts store and no go but will see if local ford dealer can get em . I had the heads worked and did not even notice until i tried to mount alt bracket back up so much for finishing the job today
well the dealerships may be able to get them, but sometimes they have to have the part number or they have no clue what you're talking about. I had a guy at a dealership tell me they didn't make such a thing as an Idle Air Bypass Adjustment plate, but I called back w/ the part number and ordered one
Sorry, I don't have the part number. I was referring to just a normal heli-coil kit, not the threaded inserts you're speaking of. You could probably get them from www.50resto.com if you can't find them anywhere else, but I'm not sure.
F4ZZ-6E086-B I think. Maybe it's -A.
Not totally sure. I'll check at work tommorow. I do know they are pricey but they are the only thing that works correctly!
