First post, Duh. Anyway I am picking up a 94 GT coupe on Saturday, Teal green, hence the Green_Meanie. Goal, run 12's in the 1/4.

Seems to be a lot of useful information here so hopefully wont be too difficult to reach my goal.

I used to modify and race 4 bangers of the Honda variety, but felt it was time to grow up and move on to the big boys.

Later

Welcome! I always liked the teal mustangs. There's plenty of info here, and if you can't find it what you need, just ask. Out of curiosity what kind of times were seeing with those 4 bangers?

Mid to low 13's. No nitrous, no boost, all motor. Prelude motor with slight mods, stripped civic body, and the best drag supension money can buy and DRs for traction.

Welcome..

pullies, gears, intake, heads, cam, full exhaust

just some thoughts to go for you to go with.

Dealer guy says it has gears(just not sure on ratio) a shift kit(auto tranny) and a flowmaster exhaust. He says it shifts fast and hard, which is why most people havnt bought it.

Saw a hatch the other day. Ran 12.9's.. his license plate was 'ALL MOTR' lol.. suprisingly enough he was all motor! ever heard of this guy? hes in oklahoma

I couldn't tell you from first hand experience, but friends said wasn't hard. I am gonna have it professionaly done, full swap for $500-$700 (that includes new tranny, trading up old one)..

I'm planning all this stuff, and I don't even have the car yet. :rlaugh:

Soon though soon. :D

Wow, its that cheap? Sweet.

Unless the guy is your friend or something, I would check to see what gears it has. Just make sure he's not lying. Lots of people try to sell mustangs with "gears" and I wouldn't put it past a dealer to do it as well. If it doesn't you could probably get a few hundred lower.

For me anyways... my brothers friend does mustang work. He sells and buys used mustangs.

I guess its good for me then that my father-in-law works as a parts man for a dealership. He knows all the mechanics, and can get me any parts dirt cheap. :D
